PEAC Program for Winthrop Primary School Students 2007
The Primary Extension and Challenge Program (PEAC) operates three ten-week cycles each year, offering a diverse range of interesting and challenging courses to gifted and talented students.
Selected students are withdrawn from their general classrooms for half a day each week and join with similar-aged students from other local schools within the Fremantle-Peel Education District to participate in the PEAC program.
In 2006 41 students, representing approximately 13.5% of our students from Years 5 to 7 qualified for PEAC placement. The majority of these students accepted the offer and participated in a variety of courses, including Robotics, Aeronautics, Web Design and a range of other high-interest topics.
