Japanese Festival

The very popular biennial Winthrop PS Japanese Matsuri is back!

This is a FREE whole school event where all students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 participate in a variety of Japanese cultural activities on the day. Come dress in the colours of Japan (red and white) or Japanese theme clothing.

Activities on the day include Kingyo sukui (superball scoop), origami craft, kanji rocks, Kanji body tattoos, koma spinning top, traditional Japanese games, Tamaire ball game and photo booth. These stalls will be manned by our responsible Year 5 and Year 6 students on the day. See you there! たのしみに！
