Native Plants Offer reduced

The City of Melville Native Plant Giveaway is in full swing this May with local residents able to redeem up to 15 local, native and waterwise plants at NO CHARGE!

In conjunction with the green fingers behind the Busy Bee program, the P & C would like to ask any willing Winthrop Primary families to donate some or all of their allotted free tubestock natives to help us maintain and revitalise our wonderful Winthrop Primary campus.

Time is running out though, with tubestock only available until Thursday 31st May (or while stocks last).

If you would like to help us keep our campus grounds flourishing and achieve our sustainability goals, please print out and complete the voucher in the link below and head to APACE Nursery, 1 Johannah Street, North Fremantle – before 31st May. Any plants available will be gratefully received. Native Plant Subsidy Scheme

Once you have collected your tubestock, please deliver it to Kate Reading via the Pre-Primary 4 classroom who will nurture them until they are ready to be planted.

There will be two Busy Bee days planned during the school year. If you enjoy a spot of gardening or just a fun day helping the school community, please register your interest to volunteer by emailing the P&C at This email address is being protected from spambots. Many thanks

WINTHROP PRIMARY SCHOOL BOOKWORM JUMBLE SALE

17th August 2017

 Congratulations!! What a successful event.

What a buzz there was around the undercover area as the students, staff and parents found some amazing treasures and long lost favourites!!

Over 700 books are now in the eager hands of our Winthrop Bookworms, which resulted in over $1500 being raised.  This money goes towards the many valued P & C organised events.

Thank you Andrea Edmondson (Bookworm Jumble Coordinator) for coordinating the event.

Community - P & C

The Winthrop Primary School Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) is a very active body of parents and community members who work together with the Principal and Staff of the school to provide the best school environment for our children. The Winthrop P&C organises the canteen, provides school uniforms and organises many fund-raising events. The P&C fundraising proceeds from events is used to purchases resources for the school.

The P & C have raised funds for refurbishment of the Library and for the purchase of iPads and reading books. The P & C have also organised parent workshops and busy bees around the school. Information on activities of the P & C is regularly published in the School Newsletter. We encourage all parents to be involved in the P & C community!
