Learn and Grow Together

At Winthrop Primary School we live our school motto of learning and growing together. Our whole school pedagogy is built around this motto with a focus on continual growth and improvement in all aspects of our work.

We believe that children learn best when each and every one of them is valued, supported, connected and nurtured to develop a ‘can do’ attitude.

Our school understands and acknowledges that our values of Respect, Responsibility, Care and Achievement underpin
everything we do.

A warm welcome back to school for the commencement of Term 2.

Many thanks for ensuring our children's readiness for learning, right from day one of term.

As you may be aware, the SSTUWA has proposed a half-day stop work action on the morning of Tuesday 23rd April, 2024. Further information via Connect notification will be forwarded to parents and carers in terms of this matter as soon as it is available.

We welcome all community to join in our Anzac Commemorative Service on Wednesday 24th April, commencing at 9am. Many thanks to those who have forwarded personal histories and family links with Anzac and service in the Australian Defence Forces. These stories will be shared in our community Honour E-Book which will be published following our service. Students are making poppies which will be displayed on the front lawn of the school prior to our service. If you or any family members who wish to attend and require seating or support to access the service, please contact our school office.

The school will be closed on 25th April for ANZAC day and the 26th April for a school development day.
